Practice

Two simple exercises you can try now

Use these short exercises as a gentle way to reconnect with your body. Move slowly and stay within a comfortable range of motion.

1. Seated shoulder roll

  • Sit or stand upright with your feet comfortably on the floor.
  • Slowly roll your shoulders up towards your ears, then back and down.
  • Continue this circular movement 8–10 times at an easy pace.
  • Switch direction and repeat the same number of rolls.

This gentle movement is designed to support relaxation in the shoulder and upper back area during the day.

2. Standing side reach

  • Stand with feet about hip-width apart, knees soft and relaxed.
  • Gently raise one arm overhead and lean slightly to the opposite side.
  • Hold the position for 3–5 calm breaths, staying within a comfortable stretch.
  • Return to the center and repeat on the other side 3–4 times.

This movement is intended to support the sides of your torso and create a feeling of space around the ribs.

Morning routine

A light morning warm-up

This short routine can be completed in about 10–15 minutes. Use it as a calm way to invite movement into your morning.

Step-by-step outline

  1. Gentle spinal wake-up (2–3 minutes)
Sit or stand upright. Slowly roll your head from side to side and make small circles with your shoulders.
  2. Dynamic ankle and wrist circles (3 minutes)
Gently circle your ankles and wrists, 10–12 times each direction, to support joints and circulation.
  3. Soft whole-body reach (3–4 minutes)
Raise both arms overhead with a comfortable stretch, then slowly bring them down. Repeat 8–10 times while breathing steadily.
  4. Calm standing march (3–5 minutes)
March lightly in place with relaxed shoulders, focusing on a smooth and comfortable rhythm.

You can shorten or lengthen each step depending on your available time. Keeping the routine flexible helps it fit into your daily life.
